Work Begins on $25M School

FALLS CHURCH, VA-Work has gotten under way on the development of the new George Mason Middle School, which will consist of a three-story, 131,000-sf structure on the existing campus. Currently, George Mason Middle School shares its home with George Mason High School at 7125 Leesburg Pike, so the new construction means the middle school students will have a building to themselves for the very first time.

The school–which will cost an estimated $25 million to complete–is being developed as a public/private endeavor involving the Falls Church Public School Board, the City of Falls Church and Clark Real Estate Advisors. Clark Construction Group LLC is the general contractor on the project, which is being designed by Springfield, VA-based BerryRio Architecture + Interiors.
