Dearborn-based Meridian Automotive Systems Inc. plans to build a 250,000-sf assembly plant in Fowlerville, which should result in 250 jobs. The company will receive a $2.2-million tax credit.
Nicholas Plastics Inc. plans to add 120,000 sf to its building in Allendale Township for a $3.7-million tax credit. The project is expected to add 250 jobs in the next five years.
Auburn Hills-based Saturn Electronics & Engineering Inc. plans to expand its Coopersville operation. It will receive a $1.6-million tax credit.
Auto interiors supplier Lear Corp. qualified for a $4.8-million tax credit and $7.2 million of incremental taxes captured through a brownfield plan for its previously announced $70-million headquarters in Southfield. The project is expected to create 200 jobs.
Atlantic Automotive Components will spend $21.8 million to expand its Benton Harbor buildings. The project is expected to create 71 jobsand the company will receive a $707,000 tax credit.
Costa Mesa, CA-based Ceradyne Inc., was awarded a $946,000 tax credit and plans to open a design office in Wixom in November. The project will bring five to 10 jobs to the area in the next year and up to 52 in five years.
Ann Arbor-based Mobius Microsystems Inc. will receive a $4.3-million incentive to move its headquarters to Downtown Detroit by November. The company expects to grow to 19 jobs by the end of next year.
