Rudin Moves to President of Tri-State Region at CBRE

NEW YORK CITY-Mitchell E. Rudin has been named president of the New York Tri-State Region at CB Richard Ellis where he will report directly to the region’s CEO Mary Ann Tighe.

In his new position, Rudin will assume the day-to-day responsibilities for the company’s operations in New York City, northern and central New Jersey, Long Island, and Westchester and Fairfield counties. His appointment will let the other members of the Tri-State leadership team–Tighe, Robert Alexander, co-chairman, and John Powers, co-chairman–to shed some of the daily decision-making demands and focus more attention on strategic direction, client service and business development, according to the firm.

For the past 18 months he served as president of CBRE’s US brokerage operations. He previously held the same position at Insignia/ESG before CBRE’s acquisition of the firm in 2003. “Mitch has done a superb job of introducing Insignia’s Managed Brokerage process to our US offices, and putting the systems and support resources in place to ensure its successful adoption nationwide,” says Brett White, CB Richard Ellis’ president. “With that initiative well on its way, he is the perfect complement to our Tri-State leadership team.”
