Ram Chemical & Supply Inc. will build a 3,500-sf building on the site. The chain's broker, Jim Thompson with the Houston office of Grubb & Ellis Co., tells GlobeSt.com that the retailer selected the area for the next location for its booming trade area with one million sf of relatively new construction. Thompson's best guess is the store will be ready to open in the second quarter. He's also working out details for several other ground leases in Texas.

The 40-acre Crossing at 518 is being developed by Dallas affiliates, Cencor Realty Services and Weitzman Group plus the Argovitz Family Trust in Houston. The first 150,000 sf of a proposed 425,000 sf is now rising at the northeast corner of Texas 288 and FM 518.
