Three Retailers Set Up Northwest-Area Shops

HOUSTON-A gift store, optical office and residential real estate firm ink five-year leases for a combined 5,930 sf at Kroger-anchored shopping centers. All are planning to open doors in April.

HOUSTON-A gift store, optical office and residential real estate firm have signed five-year leases for a combined 5,930 sf at separate shopping centers in the northwest submarket. The trio opens doors in April.

The Taper Caper Gifts will open a 2,450-sf store in the Cypress Town Center at the intersection of Jones Road and Cypress North Houston. The 120,000-sf shopping center is anchored by Kroger and is 90% leased, says the lease’s sole broker, Heather Nguyen with NewQuest Properties in Houston. The center’s quoted rent ranges from $18.50 per sf to $22 per sf.
