Closet World is expanding from 9,000 sf at 14982 N. 83rd Place in Scottsdale. The company will manufacture and distribute closet organizers from the new location, near the Price Freeway and Chandler Boulevard.
"This is a gargantuan expansion," says Mike Parker of Colliers International in Phoenix. "Closet World is really ramping up in the Valley because of the home building going on." He represented Art Wholesalers in the transaction along with Colliers' Paul Sieczkowski and Rob Martensen. Now, Art Wholesalers is free to consolidate its Arizona and Illinois manufacturing operations into a single 125,000-sf facility at 6607 W. Boston St. in Chandler.
Parker tells GlobeSt.com that Closet World relocated from Scottsdale because space is less expensive in Chandler. The company also likes the freeway access the new facility offers--it is close to Loops 101 and 202 and Interstate 10. Chris McClurg of Lee & Associates Arizona handled negotiations for Closet World.
Closet World's new location was built in 1999 by Chandler-based San Tan Development LLC. It was originally leased to Wood Dale, IL-based Electro-Wire Inc., which shut down the Arizona operations and subleased the space to Art Wholesalers.
