The 100-year facility is in the middle of the city's developing Arts District and comes on the heels of other significant real estate investment in the area. The project, now called Standish Apartments, is a 28-unit, five-story elevator building, which has been vacant for 19 years. It is ZU Development's seventh affordable housing development in the city.

The redevelopment will include a gut renovation with new interiors and structural updates, with an expected completion date next summer. The unit mix will consist of one- to three-bedroom residences ranging in size from 580 sf to 1,500 sf and will become part of the city's affordable housing stock where the current occupancy rate is 97%.
