Developers Look to More Multifamily Projects as Ellington Sells Out

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL-The Ellington at Victoria Park, a new, 50-unit townhome community here, has sold out, and its developer is looking to do more projects in the area.Located on the city block between Northeast 5th and Northeast 6th streets along Northeast 7th Avenue in Victoria Park, the project consists of eight buildings with three-story units that range in size from 1,700 sf to 1,900 sf under air and from 2,600 sf to 3,100 sf total. All residences have two bedrooms and a den, 3.5 baths and a private, attached, two-car garage. Most units have a rooftop terrace with a covered pavilion.Victoria Place LLC is the developer and John Byrne is the project’s sales director The developer expects the community to be completed in December or January, and unit sales to be closed by the end of the year.Though the partners of Victoria Place LLC have extended experience in commercial development, this is their first multifamily project. “The ultimate confirmation of whether or not you are successful is the acceptance to the community and the high degree of customer satisfaction,” according to Scott Brenner, a principal in Victoria Place LLC. “We sold out faster than our projections.
