City Building $2M Recycling Facility

PHOENIX-The city, setting up a program to reduce construction debris by as much as 75%, agrees to a build a 21,933-sf service and maintenance facility at 4255 W. Glenrosa Ave. to process incoming materials.

PHOENIX-In an effort to reduce the environmental impact of development, the City of Phoenix has introduced a program to decrease construction debris by as much as 75% by recycling material. As a result, a 21,933-sf service and maintenance facility will be built to handle incoming refuse.

Phoenix-based Wespac Construction Inc. is the general contractor for the Glenrosa Service Center at 4255 W. Glenrosa Ave., which will cost nearly $2 million to develop. “We hope the program is going to be something really fantastic for the city,” says Ron Ensley of Westpac Construction. “We believe it will end up being a long-term program with many benefits.”
