BOSTON-The Yawkey Center for Outpatient Care, a 10-story addition to the Massachusetts General Hospital, opened its doors. The center was renamed after the Yawkey Foundation donated $25 million to support the hospital’s efforts to expand its outpatient care and services and got this project under way. The $200 million, 320,000-sf ambulatory care center is the largest of its kind in the state.
The facility is located over the Northeast Proton Therapy Center, south of Fruit Street, adjacent to the Fruit Street Parking Garage toward Cambridge Street. The project includes a six-level, 725-space, below-grade parking garage.
