Big Boy Enlarges Prototype in Newest Location

MADISON HEIGHTS, MI-The Big Boy chain is building a new 4,700-sf prototype restaurant here at 30460 John R, near 13 Mile Road. It is about 4,400 sf larger than the first prototype that opened last year in Grand Rapids.

MADISON HEIGHTS, MI-Big Boy Restaurants International has broken ground on its newest prototype restaurant, the first to be located in its metropolitan Detroit home turf. Big Boy has also announced a new franchise agreement with the University of Michigan.

The new 4,700-sf prototype restaurant will be at 30460 John R, near 13 Mile Road, in Madison Heights. The new restaurant will be owned by Chuck Darany and will replace his former Big Boy restaurant previously within site of the same intersection.
