With the assistance of engineering and architectural firm Whitney, Bailey, Cox & Magnani, Hale is designing Canton Crossing to be a veritable city in and of itself, with office buildings, retail space, entertainment offerings, hotel rooms, parking facilities and, potentially, a cruise ship terminal. Already, a two-story, 80,000-sf brick office building has been erected, and work is currently under way on a 17-story, 510,000-sf office tower. For its part, KSI will develop the condominiums in three structures on a 1.5-acre parcel at the site, and the company will also construct about 120,000 sf of retail space to be occupied by dining establishments.

The condominium market in Baltimore is still raging, as it is in neighboring Metropolitan Washington, DC, so it is likely that KSI will see a great deal of interest in its luxury condominiums at Canton Crossing. "There is a great demand for condominiums and the potential supply for condominiums is high, too," Delta Associates vice president Harvey Singer tells GlobeSt.com. "In Baltimore, a product that is well located, well designed, and marketed to fit its targeted potential buyer can and will probably do well."
