DETROIT-The state has approved a $2.6-million tax credit for a $28.3-million Downtown project that will replace a contaminated site with a new office building, as well as a $1.6 million tax break for a Ford Motor Co. facility in Redford Township. The Michigan Economic Development Corp. says DLI Properties L.L.C. plans to use the brownfield single-business-tax credit to redevelop property next to Ford Field for a 107,000-sf office building.

Accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers L.L.P. will be the office building’s main tenant. The Michigan Economic Growth Authority board approved the tax credit Tuesday.
