Horse Racing OK Opens Door for $110M Project

LANSING, MI-"Now we start to work with Windsor Township officials for site plan approval," says Eaton Rapids developer Dorian Lange after the Michigan Racing Commission approves a license for Windsor Downs.

LANSING, MI-The Michigan Racing Commissioner has granted a racing license to Platinum Partners, which is planning to build and operateWindsor Downs a pari-mutuel racetrack planned for Windsor Township, south of here. Locally based real estate developer Dorian Lange leads Platinum Partners.

Lange, an Eaton Rapids developer, has proposed a $110-million complex with a European-style undulating turf course, entertainment complex and an equestrian center at Interstate 69 and Pinch Highway. “Now we start to work with Windsor Township officials for site plan approval,” Lange says. “It really becomes a real estate development now.”
