According to minutes from a July 2004 Arlington County Board meeting, the project will be about 170,000 sf in size. Arlington County officials tell GlobeSt.com that the total development cost of the project is $30 million.

Located near the Arlington National Cemetery, the Views of Clarendon will sit on a one-acre corner parcel where N. Highland St. and N. Hartford St. meet in Arlington's Clarendon submarket. Ultimately the property will feature the new two-story church with eight stories of residences above it. The church's original steeple will grace the building and the existing three-story educational building and daycare center on the site will stay in place. An underground 120-space parking facility will also be constructed.

"This is a very creative project that offers tremendous community benefits and enables us to achieve smart growth in a holistic way," says Barbara A. Favola, chair of the Arlington County Board. "It brings affordable housing less than a block from the Clarendon Metro, retains a childcare center and allows the church to preserve its longtime location."
