WEST DES MOINES, IA-Jones Lang LaSalle was awarded the leasing assignments of three malls, two in New Mexico and one here, totaling more than two million sf. The deal brings the company's number of US malls and the retail portions of transportation centers it manages to 52.Atlanta-based Gregory Greenfield & Associates owns the two New Mexico centers, Mesilla Valley Mall, in Las Cruces, and Villa Linda Mall, in Santa Fe. Dillard's, JCPenney and Sears anchor the 572,600-sf Mesilla Valley. The same tenants anchor the 569,500-sf Villa Linda, as well as Mervyn's.Watson Centers, of Minneapolis, owns the local, 858,500-sf Valley West Mall. JCPenney, Von Mauer and Yonkers anchor that center, which gets more than 12 million annual visitors.In April Jones Lang took over the management of 16 regional malls from L&H Real Estate Group in Chicago. Some of the best-known properties it manages include Grand Central Station in New York City and Union Station in Washington, DC.Globally Jones Lang, based in Chicago, manages about 280 centers totaling 725 million sf on four continents. Its US portfolio is located in 22 states, including the District of Columbia. Jones Lang manages centers in the US that are owned by 22 clients.
