Designed by Phoenix-based Arrington Watkins and developed by DL Withers Construction, the center broke ground in fall 2003 to replace an outdated facility. Situated on 50 acres, the center includes six buildings. The 70,000-sf main building houses the equipment and maintenance facility for all of Glendale's cars, trucks and heavy equipment including fire trucks, garbage trucks, semi-trailers and passenger cars. A smaller building, totaling 24,000 sf, serves as a warehouse for the city's operating supplies. Additional buildings include a truck wash, tire maintenance and repair facility, a structure for the service writers and guard booth.
