Sonnenblick-Goldman Expands West Coast Presence

SAN FRANCISCO-Daniel MacDonnell, most recently a managing director at Triton Pacific Capital, now will focus on expanding Sonnenblick-Goldman's West Coast business, which includes arranging project equity for all types of real estate assets and equity capital for small- and medium-sized investment funds.

SAN FRANCISCO-Sonnenblick-Goldman Company has a new director in its Capital Markets Group. Daniel MacDonnell, most recently a managing director at Triton Pacific Capital, will focus on expanding the New York-based company’s West Coast business. Sonnenblick-Goldman’s business includes arranging project equity for all types of real estate assets, structured financings, investment sales and equity capital for small- and medium-sized investment funds. Company president Steven Kohn says MacDonnell’s allure includes “strong relationships and extensive transaction experience in a broad range of asset types.”At Triton Pacific, MacDonnell raised joint-venture equity and discretionary commingled funds for real estate operators. Prior to that, he was a director with Jolson Merchant Partners and Bank of America Securities, where he led fund-raising efforts for clients such as Beacon Capital Partners, Fortress Investment Corp., and NorthStar Partners. MacDonnell is a member of the New York Society of Certified Financial Analysts, and of the NASD as a Securities Principal. “(He) will be a huge asset,” says Robert Stiles, managing director and principal of the San Francisco office.
