S&K Sales took the last suite in the 60,000-sf building, according to Steven Steinberg, a vice president with Grubb & Ellis/BRE Commercial LLC, who represented S&K Sales in the transaction. The building owner, Phoenix-based Harrison Properties, was represented internally.

Steinberg tells GlobeSt.com that S&K Sales was flexible in terms of location throughout the Valley, but needed a rail-served facility. "It was quite a challenge to find a building that had an active rail," he says. The 1980s-era building, which is located in the 51st Avenue Distribution Center, is rail-served by Fort Worth-based Burlington Northern Santa Fe. In addition to the rail service, Steinberg says the building's accessibility to Interstate 10 aided the final decision.
