GURNEE, IL-Gurnee Town Centre, a 179,730-sf retail property built two years ago, has been acquired by Inland Western Retail Real Estate Trust for $44.26 million. The center at 7105 Grand Ave. is anchored by Linens n' Things, Old Navy, Borders, Cost Plus and Pier 1.

The center is west on heavily-traveled Route 132 from Gurnee Mills. "This is a great shopping center in our own backyard," says Inland Real Estate Acquisitions chairman Joe Cosenza. "Gurnee is a real shopping Mecca and we're thrilled to be involved."

Gurnee Town Centre is Oak Brook-based Inland Western Retail Real Estate Trust's second acquisition in the Chicago market. It bought Darien Towne Centre earlier this year, paying $30 million for the 217,505-sf anchored by Home Depot, with Circuit City and PetSmart holding major space blocks.

Robert Bronson represented Rubloff Gurnee Town Centre, LLC, former owner of the center.
