Located adjacent to the University of Maryland/Baltimore County Campus in the suburban Baltimore city of Arbutus, bwtech@UMBC is fast becoming a popular destination for startups. "Tenants benefit from close synergy with the university, enjoying access to UMBC's expertise, students, technology, programs, and facilities," Grosvenor senior vice president Andrew Galbraith says. "In addition, they enjoy a great location that is just minutes from I-95, BWI Airport, and Amtrak."

Among the new tenants are software services provider BDMetrics Inc., which committed to 7,000 sf of space, and the National Association of Educational Buyers Inc., which will occupy 3,000 sf. And taking up 8,400 sf of space is a group of seven public and private technology-affiliated organizations including four UMBC offices, the Goddard Earth Science and Technology Center, the Joint Center for Earth Systems Technology, and international technology consulting firm SPI USA.
