Military Medical Facility Under Construction

HARRISON TOWNSHIP, MI-Work begins on a $9.7-million medical facility on the west side of Jefferson Avenue at Luke Avenue, in the heart of Selfridge Air National Guard Base.

HARRISON TOWNSHIP, MI-Ground has been broken for a $9.7-million joint medical training facility at Selfridge Air National Guard Base. The new facility will be used jointly by the 127th Wing of the Michigan Air National Guard and the 927th Air Refueling Wing of the US Air Force Reserves.

It is another in a series of major infrastructure improvements begun in 1995 for the base. The 42,000-sf facility will be built on the west side of Jefferson Avenue at Luke Avenue, south of the gift and thrift shop in the heart of the base. Completion of the medical training facility is expected in January 2006.
