Blockbuster Video, Color Me Mine and Tasting deVine has leases on first-floor retail space. The second floor is vacant, but Winona Properties is said to have an accounting firm lined up. Winona Properties closed the sale with a $2.2-million mortgage from Private Bank & Trust Co., according to property records.
"The visual appeal of the building, along with the level of redevelopment in Downtown Wheaton, caused this property to be very attractive to numerous investors," says CB Richard Ellis senior vice president Nicholas E. Peters, who represented the seller, Patricia LLC, along with Christopher J. Pontarelli. Steven M. Swanson of The Staubach Co. handled negotiations for Winona Properties.
Patricia LLC owned the building for less than two years, according to property records, after paying $2.25 million for it in late 2002.
