Stone Supplier Locks in BTS Showroom Deal

HOUSTON-A local stone supplier purchases a 26,075-sf office and warehouse building at 5610 Baird Ct. in the Tanner Freeport Business Park. The move will represent a 60% expansion for the growing company.

HOUSTON-To satisfy the growing demand for architectural stone and a resultant need for more space, Designer Stone Center’s has acquired a 26,075-sf, freestanding office and warehouse building at 5610 Baird Ct. in the Tanner Freeport Business Park. The seller was local developer Clay Development & Construction Inc.

“This is a major expansion for Designer Stone Center,” says Don Haley, a partner with Houston-based Haley Martin Associates, who represented the supplier. “They are expanding by about 60%.” Clay Development was represented internally by Robert Clay.

Designer Stone is relocating from a leased building at 7221 Wynnwood Dr. “They wanted to own and control their own building,” Haley says. “And they wanted to put some extras in the showroom that a business wouldn’t do if they didn’t own the space.”
