CSM Builds 126,000-SF Distribution Center For Aveda

BLAINE, MN-The $7.5-million project is the first phase of Lexington Preserve Business Park, a 140-acre site on the northwest quadrant of Lexington Avenue and Interstate 35W. A portion of a site was once slated for a new Minnesota Vikings stadium, and that option remains open.

BLAINE, MN-CSM Corp. recently broke ground on the first phase of its Lexington Preserve Business Park, a 126,000-sf distribution facility for Aveda Corp., a subsidiary of The Estee Lauder Cos. The $7.5-million distribution center, which is expected to be complete in February, will be built on the northwest quadrant of Lexington Avenue and Interstate 35W.

A portion of a site was once slated for a new Minnesota Vikings stadium. Aveda will lease the facility from CSM for 15 years with options to extend. The building features ceiling clear heights of 36 feet, a 12,000-sf storage area, 19 loading docks and 11,000 sf of office space.

The project was designed to accommodate Aveda’s philosophy of environmental sustainability, according to CSM officials. This includes an environmentally friendly roof, carpet and floor tile made from recycled materials, wood products certified not to have come from old growth forests, energy efficient lighting and heating ventilating and air conditioning systems and other considerations.
