New Jersey Company Leases 51,350-SF Relocation Site

CONROE, TX-Martin-McLean decides to move the 15-member team after a key engineering executive returns to his native state. The move is capped with a lease of an empty warehouse and a plan to buy it in 2005 from a Miller Brewing Co. subsidiary.

CONROE, TX-Martin-McLean LP has leased a 51,350-sf building from MBC Acquisitions Inc., a subsidiary of Milwaukee-based Miller Brewing Co. The Clifton, NJ-based conveyer manufacturer plans to purchase the empty warehouse once its 15,000-sf building in New Jersey is sold.

Ross Foldetta, vice president of the Woodlands-based AB Enterprises who represented Martin-McLean, says the firm decided to relocate because one of its key engineering executives returned to his native state, buying a home in the Woodlands for his family. “It’s not every day that you hear about a company following an employee,” he admits. However, he explains the company owners also were looking to make a change, with most of the relocating team buying residences in the Woodlands.

“The Miller Brewing facility was very attractive because it is only 20 minutes away from the doorsteps in the Woodlands,” Foldetta says about 101 Longview Dr. in Conroe. “Plus, it allows for expansion.”
