WESTMINSTER, MD-Leasing and management activities at TownMall of Westminster are now in the hands of a new team. Radiant Partners Inc. and Cranberry Mall Properties LLC have recently secured Jones Lang LaSalle Retail to oversee the aforementioned obligations at the 615,000-sf regional shopping center. The real estate services firms took the responsibilities off the hands of Strategic Resources Corp., the firm that had been handling leasing and management at the property.

Located at Routes 140 and 27 on a nearly 56-acre parcel about 30 miles outside of Baltimore, TownMall offers about 530,000 sf of leasable retail space. The mall was developed in 1987 as Cranberry Mall and later underwent a major upgrade in 2001 along with a name change. Today the property features a wide variety of tenants and is anchored by the likes of Boscov's, which opened in a new 180,000-sf space last year, Belk, Sears and Steve & Barry's. Other retailers calling TownMall home are Gold's Gym, which occupies a 20,000-sf space, Radio Shack, a nine-screen Regal Theatres, Zales Jewelers, and a host of other shops and restaurant options.

Cranberry Mall Properties has been in possession of TownMall since 2000 and has since been attempting to rebrand the shopping center to better accommodate the affluent and growing community; the tapping of Jones Lang LaSalle Retail to oversee leasing and management apparently fits that strategy.
