TROY, MI-Another Detroit suburb is listening to a pitch about a proposed minor-league baseball stadium. An investment group planning a $20-million minor-league baseball park in Troy is the same organization that has proposed a similar plan at Oakland University.

Rochester-based General Sports & Entertainment L.L.C., has made a proposal to the city council to develop a minor-league baseball park in the city. General Sports had previously been in negotiations with Oakland University about a proposed ballpark development. Another group had been talking with Mount Clemens about a possible baseball stadium. While the Mount Clemens talks have gone dormant, Ted Montgomery, media-relations director for Oakland University, said negotiations between the baseball group and the school continue.
