Postal Service Building on GM Site

PONTIAC, MI-Site preparation has begun for a new regional mail processing facility in Pontiac. The project is located just west of the GM Powertrain headquarters building.

PONTIAC, MI-Work has begun to transform a former General Motors foundry site into a new regional processing center for the US PostalService. The 72-acre, GM-owned site is the proposed location of a new processing and distribution center.

The USPS has approved funding to proceed with site development and project design, but has not yet approved a budget for construction. Site preparation work is expected to take about a year. The land is located just west of the GM Powertrain headquarters building, north of Montcalm and west of Glenwood.
