Tulsa Firm Spends $650,000 for Regional HQ

HOUSTON-After looking for an appropriate site for two years, Tulsa, OK-based Unit Drilling Co. has acquired a 12,500-sf warehouse building at 1029 Atascocita Rd. to house its regional headquarters. The drilling machinery repair company paid more than $650,000 in cash to United Kingdom-based Hillfoot Inc. for the five-year-old building, which is situated on roughly 4.5 acres.

“Unit Drilling needed a warehouse between 10,000 to 20,000 sf that was crane-served,” says John Ferruzzo, a principal with NAI Houston, who represented Unit Drilling in the transaction. “Buildings of that size with a crane are a pretty hot commodity because usually cranes are only found in larger buildings.” The structure, outfitted with a 20-ton crane, also has plenty of extra land for outside storage.
