Work on the 93,000-sf complex is already underway and is expected to be completed by January 2006, says Michael Anctil, administrator of outpatient services.
The hospital's emergency room treats more than 70,000cases a year. "We've run out of room on this campus, and we neededto do something different," Anctil says. The new Brownstown Township center was designed by Hobbs + Black Associates Inc. in Ann Arbor and is being built by George W. Auch Co. in Pontiac. Brownstown Township is in southern Wayne County.
