The marine communications technology company signed a five-year lease for 9,800 sf of first-floor office space in a two-story, class B office building at 3657 Briarpark Dr., which is owned and occupied by Houston-based Triten Corp., which remanufactures pump parts for the oil and gas industry. "This was a unique opportunity for Remote Knowledge because there's only one other tenant in the building--it will be personal for them," says Pete Wittorf, senior associate for Houston-based Transwestern Commercial Services, who partnered with Jared Andresen to represent the tenant. Greg Tilton, also with Transwestern, represented the building owner.
Wittorf tells GlobeSt.com that Remote Knowledge looked all over the Westchase area for a building that would suit its needs. He says the company was attracted to 3657 Briarpark Dr. because the 39,673-sf building offered an auditorium for presentations and an on-site exercise facility. Moreover, Remote Knowledge received rights to a building sign as part of the deal.
Built in 1980, 3657 Briarpark Dr. is now almost 100% leased, Wittorf says. It leases for $16 per sf. Remote Knowledge, which was in a month-to-month lease situation, will move in February from 16360 Park Ten Blvd.
