"Trans Coastal had some new business in Phoenix and needed warehouse space," explains Bo Mills, a vice president in Phoenix for Trammell Crow Co. He and TCC's Mark Detmer represented Trans Coastal in the deal.

Mills tells GlobeSt.com that he knew the building would be a perfect fit for Trans Coastal because he had sold it to Maskil Investments Co. LLC. about two months ago. "It fit their size requirements and was ready to go, which was important because they had an immediate need," he says.

According to Mills, the deal was negotiated in less than a week. Trans Coastal, a distributor based in Los Angeles, has started its move-in. Tony Lydon and Gary Anderson with Grubb & Ellis/BRE Commercial LLC represented Maskil, which bought the 14-year-old building from the San Francisco-based Rreef for $3.2 million.
