The Columbia, MD-based foodservice distributor took office space at 10230 S. 50th Place, adjacent to its distribution center at 5029 E. Sunrise Dr., a 36,000-sf, fully leased building in the five-building campus. Both buildings were developed in the mid-1980s.
"US Foodservice is consolidating its technology groups from around the country into one location here in Phoenix," says James Bayless, a senior associate with CB Richard Ellis Inc., who represented US Foodservice in the transaction along with Ashley Brooks. Bayless tells GlobeSt.com that the new lease expires in March 2011 while the renewed lease will expire in December 2007.
Space in the Phoenix Tech Center leases for $10 per sf to $15 per sf, triple net. Bill Zurek and Jim Achen of Transwestern Commercial Services Inc.'s Phoenix office represented the building owner, Transwestern Phoenix Tech Center LLC of Chicago.
