Marco's Pizza, headquartered in Toledo, OH and currently in its 27th year of operation, has 127 units in Ohio, Indiana, Michigan and Nevada. "Since opening his first location in Lansing in May 2004, the Meyers family has posted the best Marco's sales for a Michigan store," explains Jack Butorac Jr., president Marco's Franchising LLC, who purchased the franchising rights from Marco's founder Pasquale Giammarco earlier this year.

Butorac, who has laid out an aggressive expansion program since acquiring the franchising rights to Marco's, says Lansing is an ideal area for Marco's. "There is a pronounced increasing demand for pizza through childhood peaking in the mid to late 30s," Butorac says. "Our demographics fit the Lansing profile."

According to Meyers, he and his sons will open their next Marco's in Lansing in spring 2005.
