Voit Undertakes $7M Office Project in Anthem

ANTHEM, AZ-Voit Development Co. purchases five acres at the city's main entrance for $1.7 million. The plan is to break ground in the spring on a 65,000-sf, class A office building, set to rise as spec in a suburb that's tight on space.

ANTHEM, AZ-Voit Development Co. will build a 65,000-sf, class A office building on five acres at the Del Webb city’s entrance. The Woodland Hills, CA-based developer has bought the site from Anthem Arizona LLC for $1.7 million.

The two-story project, Independence Plaza, has an estimated cost of $7 million, says Tom Kimsey, vice president and regional manager of Voit Development’s Phoenix office. “There’s very little commercial land left and there’s no other office space available right now. It’s all leased,” he says.

Kimsey tells GlobeSt.com that Voit has received quite a bit of interest on the building, which is scheduled to break ground in the spring. Independence Plaza will be ready to occupy in November or December 2005.
