Local Investor Named to Hall of Fame

FARMINGTON HILLS, MI-Marcus & Millichap Real Estate salutes Mitchell Bleznak, who has amassed a $300-million portfolio since buying the 80-unit Buckingham Manor Apartments in Birmingham in 1982.

FARMINGTON HILLS, MI-A local real estate investor has been named to the inaugural class of Marcus & Millichap Real Estate’s newly-established national Real Estate Investor Hall of Fame. Mitchell Bleznak of Bleznak Real Estate Investment Group in Farmington Hills was among the 28-member class of 2004.

With total assets exceeding $300 million and equity of approximately $60 million, Bleznak’s real estate portfolio includes multifamily, senior housing and retail properties in Michigan, Missouri and Colorado.

Bleznak’s first income property investment was the 80-unit Buckingham Manor Apartments in Birmingham. Purchased in 1982 for just under $2.5 million, the property was an attractive investment due to its location in a growing area and strong unit mix.
