"We are excited to be part of this $30-billion innovative market where over 500,000 people make their living," says Duane Rao, a former partner in Metro 25 Tire and MetroCell, who joined QuikDrop owners Mike Rogensus and Mike Steffani as a partner this month. "We plan to open up to 16 to 24 QuikDrop stores in Michigan over the next year. This is an exciting addition to the eBay concept that makes online auctioning available to everyone."
QuikDrop provides a way for people to list and sell items on eBay. Items with a value of $50 or more may be dropped off at the QuikDrop, where it is photographed and placed on eBay. QuikDrop also handles the payment and shipping details once the item is sold and then pays the owner of the item, less a QuikDrop commission. QuikDrop has 25 locations in nine states.
