The project is expected to be completed by June 2006. The township project is one of two being planned in Macomb County for 2005. A planned medical office building on 10 acres near the Warren Police Department, near Van Dyke between 12 and 13 Mile roads, is working its way through the city approval process.

The healthcare provider owns 25 acres at the Tilch Road property. The initial phase of the project will include a 75,000-sf five-story physicians' office building. A connected second building will consist of 53,000 sf in two stories. The smaller building will provide a wide variety of medical screening and therapy services, including MRI, CT and ultrasounds, as well as physical and occupational therapy and cardiac rehabilitation services. The complex will also include a retail pharmacy and two classrooms for educational programs.

The buildings will be built on the westernmost 15 acres of the property, keeping 10 acres available for possible future expansion needs. "The ancillary services building will be expanded based on patient demand. The physician building will be expanded when there is enough demand by physicians to locate there," says Tom Brisse, senior associate hospital director for Beaumont. He adds there is no target date for those projects.

The Warren building, which will feature physician's offices, will comprise about 40,000 sf and Beaumont hopes to have that building open in about a year, says a spokeswoman for the hospital.
