Car Dealer Plans 24,000-SF Expansion

TAYLOR, MI-Not only does Taylor Chrysler Jeep have a new owner and a new name, the dealership at 12000 S. Telegraph Rd. is getting a $2.6-million renovation in 2005

TAYLOR, MI-Plenty is happening at the former Taylor Chrysler Jeep. The dealership has a new owner, Dan Frost, who changed the name of the dealership to Telegraph Chrysler Jeep in Taylor.

And, he says, 2005 will bring a $2.6-million makeover to the dealership.Plans call for tearing the front of the dealership off and building a new showroom by next year, expanding the main building by up to 24,000 sf of new administrative offices and display area.

Frost says the dealership, at 12000 S. Telegraph Rd., also will move its used car lot to the north side of the 14.5-acre property and build a new facility for used car sales. Frost, who also owns Southfield Chrysler Jeep, and co-owner Gary Wood purchased the dealership from AutoNation Inc. last month. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
