Conferencing Firm Takes 24,000 SF for Expansion

CHESAPEAKE, VA-BT Conferencing Inc.–a Braintree, MA-based audio and video conferencing provider that is also a subsidiary of the European telecommunications firm BT Group plc–has decided to make its first expansion in the US with the opening of a new 24,000-sf call center within the 104,000-sf office building at 1424 Crossways Blvd. The company will spend $1 million to establish the new center.

Developed by Armada/Hoffler in 1999, 1434 Crossways is located on a 10-acre parcel off I-64 in the Greenbrier section of Chesapeake. Towers Perrin Administration Solutions, a global professional services firm, is the lead tenant in the building. BT Conferencing expects to open its new site in late February or early March.
