In the first week of January, the credit union opened branches at 23 Mile and Gratiot in Chesterfield Township in Macomb County and along Woodward in Berkley in Oakland County, says Tom Schaeffler, executive vice president of Credit Union One.
"I don't want to say just yet exactly which communities we are looking at, but we are working hard toward the goal of at least one more branch in each county by the end of 2005," he adds. Schaeffler has had some initial talks with property owners but no deals have yet been signed.
