Mellon Financial Extends 1M-Plus HQ Lease

PITTSBURGH, PA-The global financial services company will remain in One Mellon Center here through November 2028. The complex is owned by Philip Morris Capital Corp.

PITTSBURGH, PA-Mellon Financial Corp. has extended its leasehold on the 1.5-million-sf One Mellon Center here through 2028, according to the company’s representative in the transaction. The Downtown class A office complex is owned by Philip Morris Capital Corp. Mellon occupies 1.1 million sf of the 1.5 million sf building and sub-leases the remainder to other commercial tenants. Mellon houses about 6,300 employees in the four-building complex, representing an annual payroll of approximately $375 million. Ray Sanseverino and Marie Landsman of New York-based Brown Raysman Millstein Felder & Steiner represented Mellon Financial in the transaction. Sanseverino is chair of the New York law firm’s commercial real estate leasing group. Details of the master lease extension agreement were not disclosed and not otherwise immediately available.
