Innkeepers Trust Snaps up Doubletree Hotel for $23M

WASHINGTON, DC-Ownership of the Doubletree Guest Suites Hotel in the Downtown area has changed hands in a recent $23-million deal. Innkeepers USA Trust is the new owner of the 105-room property, having taken it off the hands of 801 New Hampshire GEHOP LLC, which acquired the hotel in 1999 for nearly $10.8 million. The purchase is part of a three-hotel acquisition that the Palm Beach, FL-based hotel REIT announced in early December.

The Doubletree Guest Suites Hotel is located on New Hampshire Avenue NW in Foggy Bottom, an area near George Washington University and between the Georgetown and Dupont Circle neighborhoods. In addition to its guestrooms, the property also features nearly 900 sf of meeting space.
