Located one mile from Texas A&M University at 801 University Dr. East, the 20-year-old hotel recently underwent a $5.4-million renovation of guest rooms, lobby and common areas. The hotel has 28,399 sf of meeting space and an 11,360-sf ballroom.
According to Cia Buckley, senior managing director of North American Investments at JER Partners, the Hilton College Station & Conference Center is the premier hotel in the city. It will continue to operate under the Hilton flag and will be managed by Denver-based Sage Hospitality Resources.
The Hilton College Station & Conference Center was acquired through JER Partners' Fund III, an $800-million fund that closed in October 2004. The fund has an investment period of five to six years.
