Although terms were not disclosed, warehouse space in the area is on the market ranging from $3.60 per sf to $4.95 per sf. The distribution facility is one mile from Interstate 55 as well as 13 miles north of Interstate 80. "The facility is situated in one of the most active regional and national distribution locations in the country," says ProLogis market officer John Picchiotti.
S&S Activewear, which distributes corporate apparel and accessories, moves it warehouse operations from 2 Gateway Ct., less than a mile away in Bolingbrook. The 23-acre site in Remington Lakes Business Park allows for on-site parking for 102 trailers.
The deal follows a 360,000-sf build-to-suit for Chicago Tube & Iron in nearby Romeoville's South Creek Business Center. CT&I is moving from 2531 W. 48th St. in Chicago.
