The Metropolitan Club, a mainstay at the Sears Tower for more than 30 years, and MetFit Club, are owned and operated by ClubCorp USA, which owns golf courses, country clubs, private business clubs and resorts in addition to its Plaza and Metropolitan business clubs of Chicago. The 59,000-sf deal was the result of a study by Equis Corp. of ClubCorp USA's Chicago operations, and includes tenant improvements to MetFit Club's space.

Equis Corp. senior vice presidents Michael Bishop and Christopher Wood represented ClubCorp USA in negotiations with John Huston and John Roeser with American Landmark, which bought the building for $840 million last year.
