Financial terms of the new lease with property owner Akridge are not being disclosed; however, Akridge markets space at the class A facility for $39.50 per-sf, full-service. The Staubach Co.'s Brian Cornrich represented the tenant, while Akridge's Gene Kenney stood in for the ownership.

Developed in 1985, 1225 Eye St. boasts a prominent corner location just a block from Franklin Square in the East End section of the city's CBD. Other tenants include the Biotechnology Industry Organization, the Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence and a bevy of law firms. With the new lease in hand, the building is currently 98% occupied, Akridge's Kenney tells GlobeSt.com.
