Also, transaction freight forwarder Daman Express took on an additional 46,656 sf at 1470 Thorndale Ave. The company had moved to Elk Grove Village, consolidating operations in Bensenville and Chicago.

Gordon Food Services distributes food to schools and restaurants throughout the Chicago area. Carolina Logistics specializes in handling returned goods.

Two of the deals involved NAI Hiffman senior associate Eric Tresslar. He represented Carolina Logistics in negotiations with Hamilton Partners, owner of the building at 2800 Carl Blvd. Tresslar teamed with NAI Hiffman executive vice president Lawrence R. Much, SIOR on Gordon Food Services' lease renewal. Grubb & Ellis associate Matt Mulvihill and senior vice president Brian Carroll represented Daman Express in negotiations with Itasca-based Hamilton Partners' George Arnold.

The Pratt Avenue building was acquired by San Filippo Holdings about a year ago for $7.65 million.
