FULLERTON, MD-Ownership of Putty Hill Plaza has changed hands courtesy of a recent transaction valued at $14.8 million. With the assistance of real estate services firm Colliers Pinkard, a deal was struck with Kimco Realty Corp. to purchase the approximately 90,000-sf shopping center from Bel Air Road Associates.

Rumor has it that the grocery-anchored site piqued the interest of a hoard of potential buyers before Kimco sealed the deal. According to Baltimore County records, the center and the 10.7-acre parcel it occupies have an aggregate current assessed value of $7.7 million.

Putty Hill Plaza, a Suburban Baltimore retail destination just six miles outside of the city, sits off I-695 at the intersection of Belair Rd. and Rossville Blvd. Lead tenant Giant market counts as its neighbors a variety of retailers including Bank of America, Carvel ice cream, Play It Again Sports and Spirit Rent-A-Car. Acquisition of Putty Hill Plaza increases Kimco's presence in the small suburban neighborhood; the company already owns an adjacent retail property.
